Legal Information

How many times have you called a business and heard a recording at the beginning of the call that states "this call may be recorded and monitored for quality purposes..."? Many industries are moving towards regulations requiring phone conversations be recorded, while other companies have already adopted the practice. The Call Recording Box can be there to assure you are compliant with such regulations.

Each state has its own laws and regulations regarding recording phone conversations. 38 of the 50 states require that only one party in a phone conversation be informed the call is being recorded, with the other 12 states requiring that all parties be informed.

It is recommended that companies review local laws and regulations before using the Call Recording Box. We do not condone breaking state or federal laws when recording phone calls. Be aware that recording a phone call, even your own, is possibly illegal and can give rise to not only a civil suit by the "injured" party, but also criminal prosecution. Consult legal counsel and check state law in your locale, as well as the state you are calling before you start recording phone calls.

We will help you customize your phone recording to fit your location, the locations you are calling, and work with your legal team to maximize your business's calling structure.
